The Effect of Graphene Oxide Exfoliation Degree on Graphene Film Properties

نویسندگان

چکیده

Interest in graphene, which is a new material, increasing day by due to its unique mechanical, electrical, and thermal properties. Graphite oxide (GRO), synthesized as result of series chemical processes graphite, was used the primary material production graphene film. In this study, firstly, (GO) dispersions with different exfoliation degrees were prepared from de-ionized water (DI-water) repeatedly washed GRO mixture at ultrasound times. Then, GO films same film thickness produced casting dispersions. thermally reduced 1100 oC, change (RGO) properties investigated. XRD, SEM, FTIR measurements made for characterization films. While maximum degree obtained 8 hours ultrasound, even 3 duruationby reduction oC.

Effect of Graphene Oxide on the Properties of Porous Silicon.

We studied an effect of the graphene oxide (GO) layer on the optical and electrical properties of porous silicon (PS) in hybrid PS-GO structure created by electrochemical etching of silicon wafer and deposition of GO from water dispersion on PS. With the help of scanning electron microscopy (SEM), atomic-force microscopy (AFM), and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, it was establis...

A Review on Thermal Exfoliation of Graphene Oxide

Exfoliation, i.e. individual separation of carbon sheets, is of great interest to produce single-layered graphene nanosheets. Chemical or thermal treatments are popular approaches to exfoliate graphite chunks. In general, these conventional methods are assisted with intercalation via covalent or non-covalent functionalization, expansion, and swelling, adsorption of organic molecules in gas phas...

Dynamic configuration of reduced graphene oxide in aqueous dispersion and its effect on thin film properties.

The dynamic configuration of reduced graphene oxide (rGO) in an aqueous dispersion is revealed by several characterization methods, showing a spontaneous and seemingly irreversible configuration transition from flat to highly corrugated sheets over time. Such dynamic behaviour of rGO leads to a tailored porous structure of graphene-based thin films. This affects their permeation and electrochem...

Graphene oxide: the mechanisms of oxidation and exfoliation

Graphene oxides (GOs) with large sheets and more perfect aromatic structure were prepared by a novel modified Hummers method. We demonstrated that the graphite did not need to be oxidized to such a deep degree as described in Hummers method because the space distance increased little when the oxidation proceeded to a certain extent and the obtained graphite oxides (GTOs) could be fully exfoliat...

Graphene-Graphene Interactions: Friction, Superlubricity, and Exfoliation.

Graphite's lubricating properties due to the "weak" interactions between individual layers have long been known. However, these interactions are not weak enough to allow graphite to readily exfoliate into graphene on a large scale. Separating graphite layers down to a single sheet is an intense area of research as scientists attempt to utilize graphene's superlative properties. The exfoliation ...
